The challenge this year is a transition element between the upper BT80 and the lower BT70 bodies. Add two eggs and we need an F39 to get to 835ft. We tried making our own transition, but ended up buying a transition that also held the altimeter. To create the overall design and simulate launches, we used OpenRocket (http://openrocket.sourceforge.net/).

Team 22-1138 came up with the following design (TARC2022f.ork). They stayed with it into the finals.

Team 22-1139 used a different nose cone and body tube length (TARC2022e.ork). It had some issues during testing, so they changed to the same design from the other team. Unfortunately, they did not make the finals.
