On Saturday, March 26, members from all teams traveled to the Charles Town, West Virginia launch site for qualification flights.
The day was clear with wind around 5mph. We used our 7ft launch rail.
We conducted 11 flights.
Objectives
- At least one qualification flight of all our team rockets.
- Each team will start with one test fight to refine their weight.
Lessons
- This was a new launch site and it was very nice. It took us an hour to get there.
- Each team had qualification launches. Team 1640 did two and completed the challenge.
- We had no ignition issues, with eggs breaking or recovery of rockets.
- The scores were disappointing again. We will need to be ready to try again next weekend.
