Explorer Post 1010
Lockheed Martin Exploring Program
Launch - January 27, 2010

Bob Ekman flew his special rocket to again test two different altimeters (the PerfectFlite Alt15K and the Adept A1-TA). He also wanted to see if sewing across and starching the streamers would increase drag.  The two altimeters recorded 784 and 799 feet respectively.  The difference of 15ft will need more investigation and flights.  The sewing didn't seem to help much, but the starching made it easier to install and refold the streamers.

Ted Makowski flew his "bat" rocket twice with a C6 motor and with a recording altimeter.  It recorded apogees of 201ft and 240ft.

Lesson:  Bob needs to set focus to manual infinity to record the descent.
