 Members
of all thee teams traveled to the Virginia launch site. It was
a wet cold day, but not much wind. We completed several
qualification launches, but plan more qualification launches next
week.
Objectives
- Qualification launches of the RPE (team 7157) with F40-7T reloadable.
- Qualification launches of the Phoenix (team 7159) with F39-6T reloadable.
- Qualification launches of the Kaboom (team 7158)
with F52-5T reloadable.
Lessons
- The weight in the RPE was able to
move horizontally and most likely caused the wiggle in the launch
- You need to tighten the motor retaining ring - no
space.
- The timer ejection charges are more complicated
than planned.
- Everything took longer than planned. The
rockets may have been too complicated.
- The video camera needed to leave with the
photographer.
