Members
of team 7157 and 7159 traveled to the Maryland launch site. It was
cloudy, but almost no wind.
Objectives
- Flight test RPE with F42 single use
and F40 reloadable.
- Flight test Basic (Bang) with F39 and
F24 reloadable.
Lessons
- The launch rail worked great, but we
need a longer launch wire.
- Something was wrong with the F42.
When recovered, the nozzle was blocked with melted material
(nozzle?). We need another test launch.
- The F40 was way too powerful (labeled
wrong?).
- F39 worked nice in the Bang.
- The F24 was assembled wrong. From
now on, two people will work every reload assembly, and sign their
name to the motor.
- We can recover the fin and motor
section of the Bang.
- We tried to use the fire
extinguisher, but need some training.
