Explorer Post 1010
Lockheed Martin Exploring Program
Launch April 6, 2008

On the last possible day to qualify, Team 1 headed out to Virginia.  It was a rainy, cold day.  We huddled under a tarp stretched between two cars until the rain stopped. There was some wind (about 8mph), with short periods of calm.

Objectives:

  • Qualify Team 1 with scores under 20.
Lessons
  • Team 1 worked well without their leader.
  • They picked up a member from Team 3 along with a backup rocket.

Team 1 is planning to continue with their work on a electronic altimeter ejection and flight control.  They hope to have it ready for the National flyoff.
