| On Saturday,
March 29, all three teams set out to the qualification launch site in
Virginia. It was a clear day, but windy (about 10mph) with short periods of calm.
Team 3 finished their qualification attempts. Team 1 practiced
with a special rocket from last year. Team 2 had some problems
with their V2, but also tested their backup rocket with some success.
Objectives:
- Qualify Team 2 and 3 with scores under 20.
Lessons
- Team 1 needed more participants --
they will try to qualify next weekend.
- Team 2's V2 needs some work -- they
will try to qualify next weekend.
- Team 2's backup work OK once, may
need a longer ejection delay.
- Team 3 has a qualification score of
15.22.
