Cleaning Reloadable Motor HardwareHere is how I clean the reloadable motor hardware. 1. Remove all the loose material 2. Inspect the parts 3. Do a little scrapping of the residue to see how much there is 4. Use two brass brushes to remove most residue. One brush is straight and one is a cylinder. Be sure the threads are clean. 5. Put the the parts in a paint thinner 6. Rub with a cloth 7. Do scrapping where needed 8. Try a little more paint thinner and rubbing 9. Wash with soap and water, and dry with a cloth 10. Apply a little WD40 I don't think you need to do all this, but they are very clean when I am done.
