Team America Rocketry Challenge
Workshop November 12, 2005

This was our kickoff meeting.  We reviewed last year's efforts and started to plan this year's success.

Some of the tasks defined are...

  • Design by RockSim or SpaceCAD
  • Develop expertise with altimeter
  • Develop expertise with parachutes
  • Build the booster
  • Build the cargo (payload) container

Plans

  • We will purchase several Alpha IIIs for individual experimentation
  • We are looking into Kevlar Shock Cords because of the failures from last year
  • We will launch something on December 10 at Middletown
  • We need to set additional dates for workshops

Mr. Ekman has procured several of the following surplus rockets from Lockheed Martin.
