 Our Plans
We
are planning to send our three teams and a Beyond team to the
conference and competition in Leesburg, VA, July 1-5. We need at
least two adults for the whole group and a minimum of two kids per
team. It will cost about $350 per person, including registration,
food and lodging. There are some ways to trim costs, but they
may not be that practical.
We need to finalize our participation
by May 27.
All
team participants must register with KIPR (the event organizer) for the conference at
$95 each.
Get a check to Bob Ekman as soon as possible and he will register
you with one of the teams. Checks are made out to "Explorer
Post 1010". Parents and friends can come and watch the events
without paying a fee.

Stay at Center for four

$125 for standard room, 2 persons, one bed, meals included
($62.50/person/night)
$135 for suite room, 2 persons, 2 beds, meals included
($67.50/person/night)
$184 for suite room, 3 persons, 2 beds, meals included
($61.33/person/night)
$233 for suite room, 4 persons, 2 beds, meals included
($58.25/person/night)
If you don't stay at the Center, you
need a Center pass at $30 per person per day which pays for all
meals. If you volunteer for working at the conference, you may get
some or all of the $30 fee waived.
Stay at local motel for four
nights (July 1, 2, 3, 4)
About $60 for standard room per night, 2 persons, 2 beds, no meals
($30/person/night),
will require adult drivers.
Stay at home but travel in
every day.
