5 — A 5 may be given to up to the top 10%* of all entries in a region. 5's will only be given to entries meeting and exceeding the criteria for a score of 4.

4 — Completely and thoroughly** responds to all parts of the activity

3 — Addresses all parts of the activity, but does not in a sufficiently complete and thorough manner.

2 — Addresses some but not all parts of the activity.

1 — Irrelevant or off topic

0 — No post.

1/2 point may be deducted from the final score if the entry is illegible due to grammar or spelling errors. Spell check is a useful resource in both the academic and professional world.

There is the remote possibility that a vanishingly small number of teams may be awarded a 6. This would only occur if there were unanimous agreement amongst all of the judges for a documentation topic that a score of more than 5 is merited. Note that a score of 5 already represents work that both exceeds the stated requirements AND is in the top 10% of responses for a region.
