Finally, the Regional Competition is here. We started early in the morning at Lockheed Martin and returned with a bunch of awards in the early evening. Way to go teams.
The competition included three events for both teams -- seeding rounds, presentation and report, and the double elimination head-to-head competition. There were 46 teams competing Both teams did well in all areas. The scores with these events were compiled with the blog scores to produce an overall score.
Team 06-0157 came in 4th overall and Team 06-0158 came in 3rd overall -- one tenth of a point between the two. Team 06-0158 came in second in the seeding rounds. Both teams were in the final 16 competition. And both teams won Judge's Choice awards.
We will do a detailed review of the seeding and competition rounds with videos, but here are some pictures to give you an idea of day. We also plan a slide show.
