This was the kick-off of our major project for this school year. About 35 people were present. We discussed how we were going to organize and what some of the tasks would be.
We reviewed the "proposal process". We made some minor changes since last year. Each team will need a reasonable proposal before they are given a Handyboard or RCX.
We reviewed the lessons learned over the past 3 years. We have a very good set of lessons, but we don't always follow the advice from the past.
We conducted a skills inventory a few weeks earlier. We reviewed the results of the inventory. We have a lot of kids with experience in basic Legos and programming the RCX. We have few kids able to work with the Handyboard sensors. And we have even fewer kids interested in doing documentation of our project. This could be a problem.
